Chris Griffis Memorial Test: Post Season Running
Seb capped off his 2025 INDY NXT campaign in impressive fashion by topping the timesheets at the Chris Griffis Memorial Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The two-day post-season test saw Seb lead a dominant 1-2-3 result for Andretti Global on the IMS road course.
Against a highly competitive field, Seb set the benchmark lap time of the test, underlining the progress made over the course of his rookie INDY NXT season. The result marked a strong statement heading into the off-season and provided further momentum following his confirmation with Andretti Global for the 2026 campaign.
The IMS road course, regarded as the spiritual home of IndyCar, provided a fitting and highly meaningful setting for post-season running. With testing opportunities in INDY NXT limited, maximising every lap on track is crucial, and Seb made full use of the two-day programme. His pace throughout the test reflected growing confidence in the car, a clear understanding of setup direction, and continued progress in understanding the Dallara IL-15 chassis used in the INDY NXT series-key elements as preparations begin for the 2026 season.
Leading an Andretti Global lockout at the top of the timesheets also highlighted the strength and depth of the team’s programme as preparations begin for 2026. The performance reinforced Seb’s position within the squad and his ability to deliver at one of the most iconic venues in world motorsport.
Reflecting on the test, Seb said:
“It was a really positive way to finish the year. IMS is a special place to drive, and the test gave us a great chance to apply everything we learned during the season. The car felt strong, the team did a great job, and leading the test was a nice confidence boost heading into the winter and towards 2026.”
Seb’s standout showing at the Chris Griffis Memorial Test rounded off a productive post-season and set an encouraging tone as he and Andretti Global turn their focus toward a full sophomore campaign in INDY NXT.
