Pre-Season Prep: LMP2 Test in Dubai
Seb continued his off-season preparations with a highly productive Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) LMP2 test at Dubai Autodrome, participating with Algarve Pro Racing, one of the most experienced and successful teams in the ALMS paddock.
Across the two-day test, Seb delivered a series of strong and competitive lap times, running consistently at the sharp end of the field and quickly adapting to the demands of LMP2 machinery. Working with a proven endurance racing operation provided valuable insight into high-level engineering processes and race preparation, while allowing Seb to further develop his technical feedback and on-track execution.
With testing opportunities in the INDY NXT limited, gaining mileage in a high-performance car during the off-season is particularly valuable. Driving an LMP2 car-known for its significant downforce, power, and braking performance—offered an ideal platform for maintaining sharpness and continuing development ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Reflecting on the test, Seb said:
“It was a great opportunity to work with Algarve Pro Racing and get meaningful mileage in an LMP2 car. The level of performance is very high, and it’s good to get track time in this type of machinery over the off season. Experiences like this are extremely useful. The lap times were strong across both days, and it was a really positive way to keep building momentum heading into 2026.”
The ALMS test in Dubai formed an important part of Seb’s pre-season programme, reinforcing his adaptability and commitment to maximising every available opportunity as preparations continue for the 2026 INDY NXT season.
